  1. Wow, so much of what he said is in line with what I have more recently been learning from scripture, in contradiction to the eschatology I was told to adopt when I first became a believer (i.e. pre-trib rapture, futurism).

    1. At face value, what he says here makes him at least a partial preterist. Partial preterism means that we are now in the age to come. The creeds say the age to come is future. See the problem? I have to admit that this video is an edited summary. The link to the original is provided by the editor and I have not watched it. This was done seven years ago. I am sure if the full version denied the preterism of the edited version, by now someone would have pointed that out.

  2. Recently stumbled on this subject while looking for a way to combat the Dispensational heresy adhered to by my friend, Pentecostal Cyndy. The YouTube preacher was a little known guy named James C. Gallagher in a little independent church in RI. Dynamite teacher who not only cleared up the connection between dispensationalism and Christian Zionism pronto but addressed the coming of Christ in the Apostolic era. His biblical references were highly persuasive. Because I am a fairly recent convert to Orthodoxy, I went on the hunt for the orthodox view on preterism. Thanks for this site…will delve deeper.

    1. Hi Marjory, sorry for the late reply, I am planning to resume blogging (and start YouTubing) soon. I wrote the draft of an article on this video. I saw the full version and read the transcript. There are a few important things to say. Will try remembering to email you when ready.
